Handicaps to Mainstreaming of Students with Special Needs in Primary Schools from the Point of View of Their Teachers

Abstract

The study aimed to understand and explain handicaps to mainstreaming students with special needs in to regular schools, as well as to investigate the effects of the handicaps to mainstreaming students with special needs in to regular schools from the point of view of their teachers, ,the study sample consisted of 273 teachers(156 males-117 females) with an age range of (23-35) years , the average age is 27,84 and a standard deviation of 3,29 .the following tool was used: Handicaps to mainstreaming of students with special needs in primary schools from the point of view of their teachers(prepared by the researcher),the results of the study showed that handicaps to mainstreaming students with special needs in to regular schools have a medium effect on teachers, there are no statistically significant differences between the average scores of regular school teachers in handicaps to mainstreaming students with special needs according to the variable of specialization (class teacher- classroom teachers-special education teacher),there are statistically significant differences between the average scores of regular school teachers in handicaps to mainstreaming students with special needs according to the variable of the number of years of experience, there are no statistically significant differences between the average scores of regular school teachers in handicaps to mainstreaming students with special needs according to the variable of the academic grade.
