This paper aims to explore interdisciplinary fields in the area of special education and their role in supporting individuals with special needs. This approach is based on collaboration and integration between various disciplines, such as special education, physical therapy, nutrition, neuroscience, technology, engineering, and physical education. The paper discusses the concept of interdisciplinary research, its importance, and how it can be utilized to meet the individual needs of people with special needs through the integration of different disciplines. Additionally, the paper reviews studies that have used programs based on interdisciplinary fields with individuals with special needs, which have proven effective in improving their academic performance, adaptive behavior, and motor skills. The paper emphasizes that interdisciplinary fields contribute to creating a more integrated and effective educational and rehabilitative environment, and calls for enhancing cooperation among specialists and providing training programs that support this interdisciplinary approach to ensure comprehensive and sustainable services for individuals with special needs.
