Abstract

Due to the lack of visual cues and the absence of accurate information about the surrounding environment, many visually impaired hesitate to navigate unfamiliar places independently. Numerous studies have addressed the issue of navigation for visually impaired people, focusing primarily on positioning systems. While these systems are available, prior familiarity with the route remains an important resource, as it helps visually impaired i develop a mental map of the environment and maintain their ability to navigate even if the system malfunctions.
It is a fundamental step for learning. When a child explores and connects fully with their world, learning occurs. Children with visual impairments need encouragement and support. The world can be a fascinating and unpredictable place for them, or it may not be incredibly stimulating.
Orientation and mobility helps a blind or visually impaired child know where they are in space and where they want to go.
It helps visually impaired know where they are in space and where they want to go . It also helps them execute a plan to get there . It should begin in infancy, Leading to basic body and movement awareness, and continue into adulthood as the individual learns the skills that enable them to navigate their world independently, effectively and safely. It involves the ability to construct structures in an integrated and safe manner along with developing one's position in a given environment., Attracting visually impaired to their highest level of functioning and independence is the ultimate goal of the program.
