Abstract

The main objective of this article is to review the achievements and progress made in scientific research in the field of Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (EBD), specifically in the most important areas of this field. These include first, the causes of EBD; second, diagnostic methods and early intervention programs; third, strategies for training special education teachers; fourth, technology-based intervention programs; and fifth, interdisciplinary collaboration. In addition, the article outlines the intended research goals within each of these areas, which require further in-depth study of various EBD-related topics in order to enhance the effectiveness of different intervention programs for individuals with EBD and to improve the quality of therapeutic services provided to them. The article also recommends exerting an integrated effort across multiple scientific disciplines at different levels to support individuals with EBD. This support is reflected in the development of advanced tools for diagnosing individuals with EBD and providing them with appropriate intervention programs, thereby reducing the impact of EBD on the individual, the family, and society.
